My mum and I spent 1 week exploring and relaxing in the Dominican Republic last October after a busy season of work for me over the summer - some chill time was needed! The weather was perfect, but the seaweed on the beach was so bad, I barely swam in the ocean! Punta Cana is on the Atlantic Ocean sude of yhe island, not the Caribbean sea side, so I highly recommend a trip to Saona Island to swim in the Caribbean sea, which was much clearer 馃槉 The weather was pretty much perfect the whole week and, overall, our hotel (Catalonia Bavaro) was good value for money but I personally going sone of the customer service to be very poor, which made me feel uncomfortable. The local delicacies like their hot chocolate and Mamajuana drink were delicious and make a great souvenir, & so is any jewellery that contains the rare Larimar stone that is only found in the DR! It was a beautiful country and a grear, chill trip馃グ
