These adapters have a 20mm square base and slide into the 'T tracks' in aero bars, two on the front bar, two on the rear bar, to give one fixing at each corner of the box. In our opinion this is visually a much neater solution than putting U bolts around aluminium aerobars - which almost always scratch the base of the aerobars. These adapters will be an essential requirement when the U-bolts supplied with KAMEI roof boxes are not wide enough to go round aluminium aero bars. These adapters are suitable for the following 'T track' bars: Thule, Atera, Prorack/ Whispbar, Cruz, All Audi and Volkswagen, Mercedes-Benz Alustyle, Oris Windprofil and Oris Top Star, Alfa Romeo, Vauxhall "T-track alloy base carriers" and some Renault. Also fits some other brands of aero bars but you will need to take some measurements from your roof bars and check the dimensions on the diagram on the box above for more details. Firstly, the only thing you need from the U-bolt kit provided with your roof box is the luggage strap So store the rest of the kit somewhere safe and keep the strap handy The KAMEI T-track adapters come with: 4 x T-track bolts 4 x retaining bolts 8 x wing nuts 8 x rubber bolt covers Open the aero bar end cover to reveal the T-slot and slide the T-track bolt into the T-slot Lift the roof box to access the base slider And line up the T-track bolt to the marked, hole lowering the box onto the bolt Insert the retaining bolt and hold in place Attach the wing nuts but keep them loose for now Repeat for each fixing point You can slide the box across the bars to fit the opposite side With all the fittings loose you can position the box accordingly on the bars Tighten all 8 wing nut’s hand tight Shut and lock the box.
