These plates can easily turn a profile cavity into a pressurized chamber. Allowing you to run air or liquid through it. These plates are available in both fractional and metric and compatible across a wide range of profile series. When it comes to pressurizing a profile chamber, you’ll need three stand alone manifold plates. You have the access plate, the feeder plate, and the stopper plate. These plates already come with gasket and hardware included. However, your profile will need machined with end taps in both ends, and an access hole in the side of the profile. More information on 80/20’s machining services can be found in the 80/20 product catalog. Now when it comes to installing it, we’re going to start with our access plate. Put one last bolt and one last Tnut in it, and we’re going to make sure the pilot projection on our Tnut is facing away from the plate. So we’ll get that on there and as you can see it has an O-ring on the backside of the plate that’s going to line up directly over our access hole. So we’ll just slide this into the open T-slot. We’ll line it up over our access hole, and we’ll tighten down with our wrench. Now once you have that tightened down, we’ll move to the ends of the profile where we're going to put on our feeder plate and out stopped plate. So we’ll start with our feeder plate and we’ll put our bolts through. We already have our gasket on the backside. Now we’ll line that up with our end taps, and we’ll just tighten that down with our wrench. Once we have that tightened down, we’ll move to the other side and do the same thing. Again we’ll put all our bolts in, we got our gasket on the backside, and we’ll line it up with our end taps. Once you have that lined up you’ll take your wrench, and just tighten down the bolts. Once you have that all tightened down, you have a pressurized profile cavity. You have your stopper plate nice and sealed, you run your supply line into your feeder plate, and from there, you’ll just run a line out your access plate. Now hopefully you found this segment on pressure manifold plates helpful. For more information, please visit 8020.net and be sure to subscribe to future 80/20 videos.
